Australia: Labels

The set includes printed labels for all Australian states (New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania), territories (Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory), and major geographical features like capitals, major cities, and significant landmarks. Labels are typically printed on cardstock for durability.

These labels are specifically designed to complement the Montessori Australia puzzle map and pin maps. Children can place labels directly on the puzzle pieces, use them with pin mapping activities, or create three-part card exercises. They work seamlessly with the traditional Montessori geography curriculum sequence.

Children simultaneously develop reading skills, geographical knowledge, spatial awareness, and fine motor control. The activity reinforces letter recognition, word reading, memory of location names, understanding of Australian political divisions, and hand-eye coordination through precise label placement.
