Place the puzzle on a low shelf at the child's eye level. Ensure the grape piece is properly seated in its recess. Have a small basket nearby for the child to place the removed piece.

Move deliberately slowly so the child can observe your finger positioning - 2
Lift the grape piece straight up and place it gently in the basket or beside the puzzle base
Avoid twisting or tilting the piece, use only vertical movement - 3
Pause and look at the empty recess, then pick up the piece again using the same grasp
This pause allows the child to process what they've observed - 4
Align the grape piece above its recess and slowly lower it into place
If it doesn't fit immediately, lift and try again rather than forcing it - 5
Invite the child to try by gesturing toward the puzzle
