A box of twelve three sided inset pencils in brown. Brown is the broad stair, the wood of the room and most of what a child draws once animals and trees arrive, and it is the colour a mixed pack never has enough of. The three flats of the barrel matter here too: a pencil held in a fist wears to a wedge, one held in three fingers wears evenly, and the shape is what decides which happens.
