4-Space Shelf

4-Space Shelf offers four open compartments at a depth of 40 cm and can be stacked with other units from the same range, so storage grows with the group instead of being replaced. The shelves can be added or taken out as the material changes over the year. Kept to one activity per compartment, with every tray returned to the same spot, the shelf itself shows a child where things belong. Open, low storage is what lets a child find a work, take it and put it back without asking anyone, and it shows an adult at a glance what is being used and what is being passed over.
