9-Space Shelf

The 9-Space Shelf divides storage into nine open compartments, at 40 cm deep enough for trays and baskets rather than only flat boxes. One activity to a compartment, ordered from the simplest on the left to the hardest on the right, gives the shelf a teaching job of its own, because the child reads the sequence of the work from where it stands. Shelves can be added or taken out as the group's material changes, and the unit stacks with the rest of the GAM cabinet range when a room has more height than floor. Open compartments keep every activity in sight, which is what lets a child fetch work and put it back without asking.
