Addition Equations And Sums Box

Addition Equations And Sums Box keeps addition problems and their answers as separate slips in one box. The child draws an equation, works it out with the material at hand and then finds the slip carrying the sum, correcting the work without an adult saying a word. Slips can be taken in order at first and drawn at random later, and a child who keeps arriving at the same answer gradually stops reaching for the material at all. Practice towards memorised addition facts, for children from three years who already add with concrete material.
