Bells Music Strip Boards

Bells Music Strip Boards are for the Montessori bells what paper is for letters: the child lays notes on the staff and then plays back what was set down. The order of the work is simple, place a note, strike the matching bell, listen, and a melody grows a few notes at a time. The ear does the correcting here, because a note set on the wrong line sounds wrong the moment it is struck and the child moves it without being told. Sound becomes something that can be recorded, read and repeated, and the ear gets a written form to hold on to. Follows the bells in the sensorial area from about three years.
