A mattress that sits flush keeps a small child's sleeping place safe and quick to make up, because a sheet tucked under a snug mattress stays where it was put for the whole of a nap. Since the fit is to one cot rather than to a standard size, ordering the matching mattress is the way to be sure the cot goes on being used as it was meant to be.
