A beechwood storage box that gives the cut-out numerals a fixed, protected place between exercises. Thin printed numerals stay crisp when they are lifted from their own box rather than fished out of a drawer of loose parts; the child finds them ready, works, and returns them to the same place, and that returning is itself part of the number work.
