Cutting And Scissor Tray (GAM)

The Cutting And Scissor Tray keeps the scissors and the paper for cutting together in one place, so the activity is ready the moment a child chooses it. The tray is carried to a table, the paper is cut, and every piece is gathered back onto the tray before it goes to the shelf again, so nothing is left behind for an adult to tidy. The bordered surface shows where the work begins and where it ends, and the hand practises the opening and closing movement that writing later depends on. For the art shelf in a classroom or at home from about three years.
