Globe Of Land & WaterSandpaper

Globe Of Land & Water: Sandpaper is the child's first picture of the whole earth, given through the fingertips: land is rough to the touch, water is smooth. Turned slowly under the hand, with the eyes shut as often as open, it lets the child find where rough gives way to smooth without anyone naming a single country. Running a hand over the sphere before any map appears leaves the impression that the planet is round and mostly covered by water, and later geography builds on it. First geography material for children from three years.
