Globe Of The ContinentsGonzagarredi Colors

Globe of the continents gives every landmass its own colour, so the child learns the seven continents as shapes and colours long before reading a single name. Held in two hands and turned slowly, it also shows what no flat map can: the earth is a sphere, and the land on it takes up far less room than the water around it. It follows the globe of land and water, where the only distinction was earth and sea, and prepares the puzzle maps that come next. Names are given a few at a time, one continent picked out and repeated until it is known, work for the geography area from about three years.
