The board itself is one very long task: fill a hundred squares in order, which a child does a handful of times and then considers finished. These cards turn the same board into many short tasks instead, so it stays on the shelf for another year and keeps being chosen. Place the wooden storage box on a work mat. Remove the hundred board grid and place it flat. Arrange the numbered dividers in order within the box. Set out one activity card to begin focused exploration.
