Imbucare Box With Different Cylinders

The Imbucare Box with Different Cylinders asks a toddler to decide which opening a cylinder belongs to before letting go of it. Each cylinder has its own hole, so the box corrects without a word: the wrong one will not drop through, the right one disappears and comes back. That repeated disappearing and returning is how object permanence settles, while wrist and fingers learn to aim, release and retrieve. For children up to three years who already sit steadily and grasp an object.
