Infant / Toddler Dressing Frame with Velcro opens the series of dressing frames with the simplest fastening of all. The child pulls the two halves apart, hears the sound and presses them together again, which succeeds with the whole hand and does not yet ask for separate fingers. Either the two edges meet along their whole length or a gap is left, and the toddler sees that without a word from anyone. Repeating the opening and closing many times over is the work itself, not a step on the way to a finished result. It is often the first experience of closing something alone, for children under three, before buttons, snaps and zips.
“Education is a natural process spontaneously carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to words but by experiences upon the environment.”
