Land And Water Form Cards

Land and Water Form Cards take the shapes a child has already poured water into and turn them into a printed image that can be matched, named and later read about. Moving from the tray to the card is the step from a three-dimensional model to a symbol, the same step that later carries geography from the globe to the map. Sorting the cards into land and water pairs settles the vocabulary behind terms such as island and lake. For children from three years who have worked with the land and water form trays.
