Mystery BagsEmpty (GAM)

Mystery Bags: Empty come without contents, so the adult decides what goes in: pairs of small objects the child is ready to identify by touch alone. Reaching in blind hands the whole job over to the fingers, which is exactly the isolation the tactile exercises rely on, and it opens the vocabulary lesson that follows. The child names or pairs an object first and only then draws it out, so the eye confirms or corrects what the hand has claimed. Because the contents are chosen, the difficulty can be raised as the fingers get better and the same bags stay in use for years. For the sensorial shelf from about three years.
