Sandpaper LettersCursive, Lower Case, European

Sandpaper Letters in European cursive give the lower case alphabet a rough surface that the child traces with two fingers, always in the direction of writing. Hand, eye and ear work at once: the finger follows the shape while the sound is spoken aloud, so the movement of writing is laid down long before a pencil is picked up. The child hears the sound and not the letter name, and that is what later makes blending sounds into words possible. A core language material for children from three years.
