Small Bead Frame Activity Set in a child's hands
Exercise cards with divider tabs in a wooden box, extending the small bead frame. The small frame is a child's first written arithmetic with carrying in it, and carrying is where an operation stops being obvious: nine plus three does not fit in the units column and something has to move. Enough graded problems that exchanging becomes automatic is what this set supplies, and automatic is the only state in which a child will attempt the large frame. Small bead frame sold separately. Wood and printed cardstock, for ages 3 to 6.
