The Snapping Frame holds two pieces of fabric joined by a row of press studs, set in a frame the child carries to a mat and works on alone. Undoing and closing each fastener strengthens the fingers, refines the pincer grip and teaches an ordered sequence from left to right. From about three years it prepares a child for dressing without adult help, because the fastener is isolated from the distraction of real clothing.
“Education is a natural process spontaneously carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to words but by experiences upon the environment.”
