Teen Boards in a child's hands
Teen Boards: International Version show how eleven to nineteen are built: the ten stays in place and a single digit slides over its zero. Sliding the card while laying out the matching quantity turns the naming of these numbers into logic instead of something to memorise, and prepares the step to the tens. The international version uses the numeral shapes common in European schools and fits the years three to six, once quantities to ten are secure.
