The Metal Inset Stands

The Metal Inset Stands hold the frames and their insets upright on the shelf, each shape visible and within reach of the child who wants it. A child lifts one down, draws round the inset on paper, fills the outline with even strokes and slides both parts back into their own slot when the work is finished. Because the material has a fixed place, the whole cycle of choosing, drawing and putting away stays the child's own work instead of the adult's tidying. The stands belong beside the pencil holders in a prepared writing corner, for children from three years.
