Thermic Bottles (GAM)

Thermic Bottles are filled with water at different temperatures and paired by touch alone, so the thermic sense works apart from sight and weight. The child takes one bottle in each hand, looks for the partner that feels the same and names what is warmer and what is cooler. Because the water evens out as the work goes on, the bottles are prepared fresh for each use, which keeps the activity short and concentrated. This sensorial work belongs to the years from three to six and gives the later lesson on heat a felt, first-hand foundation.
