The Third Box Of Color Tablets moves colour work from matching to grading: within one colour family the child arranges the tablets from the lightest shade to the darkest. The eye learns to hold a small difference of tone in mind, and the vocabulary of lighter and darker, later of individual colour names, grows with it. It follows the first and second colour boxes and suits children from about three years who already pair colours confidently.
