Wooden Cube Of 1000 in a child's hands
The Wooden Cube Of 1000 stands for the thousand in the decimal system and asks to be carried in both hands. Size and weight do the teaching: a unit fits between two fingers while the thousand takes the whole body, so the distance between the place values is experienced instead of explained. Laid at the end of the row of unit, ten and hundred, it completes the picture the child fetches piece by piece when a large number has to be built on the mat. A robust alternative to the bead cube for daily use with children from three years.
If you are not sure it suits your child, we answer in person.
