Box With Prisms For Brown Stair

The Box With Prisms For Brown Stair keeps the prisms of the Brown Stair together in one place, so the material is complete and ready before a child begins. Carrying the box to the mat and taking the prisms out one at a time belongs to the exercise itself: the child learns to prepare the work and to put it away again. Counting the prisms back in before the box goes on the shelf tells a child straight away whether one has been left lying on the mat. That habit is what keeps a graded material intact between one child and the next, since a single missing prism breaks the whole series. Made for classrooms and homes where the Brown Stair is in daily use from age three.
