Geometric Solids Basket (GAM)

Geometric Solids Basket gives the set of solids a single home, so a child carries the whole work to the mat in one trip and brings it back just as complete. The basket also makes the classic extension possible: the child reaches in without looking, turns a solid in both hands and names the sphere, the cone or the cube before drawing it out to see whether the naming was right. Putting the work away is a check in itself, since a solid left behind on the mat leaves an obvious space in the basket. It belongs to the sensorial shelf from about three years, standing beside the solids themselves.
