A mini hand brush of 7 cm, untreated beech with horsehair. Seven centimetres is smaller than a hand, which is the point: this is the brush for the seed tray and the crumbs of soil on a shelf, not for the floor. Horsehair is soft enough to sweep a sown surface without moving the seeds, and untreated beech means it dries between uses instead of holding damp under a coat of varnish. Its own place on the shelf beside the seed work.
