Pink Tower Cube in a child's hands
The three centimetre cube from the pink tower, a single replacement piece. The tower is ten cubes from one centimetre to ten, and each one changes in all three dimensions at once, which is why the difference between neighbours grows so fast: this cube holds twenty seven of the smallest, and the next one holds sixty four. A tower missing a cube cannot be improvised around, because every step is a different size. The complete pink tower is a separate item.

How to present it
Place all cubes randomly on a mat. Ensure the work area is clear and the child has observed the complete presentation previously. The 3cm cube should be among the mixed cubes.

- 2Continue selecting cubes in descending size order, stacking each perfectly centered on the one below
- 3When placing the 3cm cube (8th in sequence), pause slightly to ensure precise placement
- 4Complete the tower with the 2cm and 1cm cubes
- 5Invite the child to walk around the tower, observing from different angles
