The Pink Tower

The Pink Tower is the sensorial answer to size: cubes that grow step by step, all in the same colour, so that nothing changes except the dimension. The child carries the cubes to a mat one at a time, holding each between both hands to feel the change in bulk and weight, and then builds from the largest at the bottom to the smallest at the top. Building it, a child compares by eye, notices a wrong order without being corrected, and takes in the words large and small through the hands first.
